On December 16, 2025, Jens Tochtermann successfully defended his doctoral dissertation entitled

“Extractive Catalytic Oxidative Desulfurization (ECODS) and Denitrogenation (ECODN) of Model Oils and Real Distillation Fractions,” thereby completing the requirements for the Ph.D. degree.
